Elisa has over 15 years experience as an Acupuncturist and has seen and supported many wonderful health journeys. She is grounded in a blueprint of formal education; having completed a degree in Biomedical Science (majoring in Neuroscience) then followed by a double degree in Applied Science (Chinese Medicine/Human Biology).
Acupuncture ultimately demands great skill with the hands. So after graduation, Elisa invested in post-graduate hands-on training in Japanese Acupuncture. She chose Toyohari, the oldest Japanese Acupuncture lineage for blind Acupuncturists. Learning how to respect and listen to the body from the perspective of blind touch was a humbling experience. Elisa has since continued to train in other forms of Japanese and Chinese acupuncture so that she can help people with a breadth and depth of what Acupuncture has to offer.
Elisa has an interest in helping people manage stress and burnout, stomach issues, and women’s health. All three conditions can find roots in stress. Elisa doesn’t take stress lightly, for she has found over the years that it can be a hard and unrecognised slog for many people. In the noise and moving parts of life, sometimes it only takes a moment of respite to exhale into health and wellbeing.
Elisa is committed to finding and bringing moments of respite to people who are in need of them. When not at work, Elisa can be found reading in cafes, enjoying a Tai Chi class and hiking in the bush.
